Tieback Anchors

Chance® screw anchors for tiebacks in soldier-pile and lagging walls come with shaft sizes and helix configurations to meet job-specific requirements. Applications include building site work, roadways, retaining walls, levees, dams and revetments (embankment).

Pre-engineered tieback systems for excavation support projects simplify challenges often faced with earth retention. Helical tiebacks are a superior method of earth retention as they can be installed and loaded faster and more economically than grouted tendons.

tiebackUsed as a temporary and permanent support of building excavations from early as 1960 in North America, tiebacks have provided lateral support for walls up to 75 feet high for some construction projects. Tieback earth anchors are typically incorporated into an H-Pile lagging wall if the vertical exposure is over 10 feet. These are also incorporated into permanent foundation walls by distributing the load by means of channel, which prevent failure.
