its the desire to cover all bases that makes the game frustrating. it takes a while to get the hang of an engine just to do the simplest of things. and then you find out that theres a world of possibilities outside of the most obvious, and those are just the tip of the iceberg.
im just going to jump right to the clunkiest bit of the game, because there are so many things that could be improved that it could simply be summed up with one word. theres a whole process of pinging, digging, and red-boxing, where you may or may not even take a few parts off a car, but in order to do so, you have to dig out another whole compartment.
for example, there is a place in the engine that you need to verify is correctly working before you start digging. this is where the engine is tested - and thats where your troubles lie. you need to press a button to check the function of the engine in case there is a problem.
its like adding another coat of paint, or polishing a floor, or any other black art that professional car mechanics do. and you can do it at your own peril. cause that button doesnt do shit. it just tells you something about the engine, like, well, it turns the lights on. thats not very useful.
its a little dull. its a little too basic. its a little too frustrating. it feels like every other car mechanic simulator game ive played before. its not even worthy of calling itself a simulator. its a game of feel good, if you will.
those changing gears of your vehicle arrive and you have to diagnose their problems with the help of the mechanic interface. youll have to install the right tools, read online tutorial, and most importantly, answer the unknown questions. there are a lot of cases where you have to diagnose the problem on your own and select the right solution. you have to be efficient. there are over 30 mechanics. some mechanics are excellently programmed, but most are basic with simply interactive mechanic interface. at this point you feel like a mechanic. 3d9ccd7d82
